Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Draft: to be reviewed by a lawyer. This is placeholder wording written to describe what we intend to do. It has not been checked by a solicitor and should not be relied on as a legal document.
Who we are
Sircl is an early-stage company based in the United Kingdom, building software that automates tasks in existing applications.
To be completed before launch: a published contact address for data protection enquiries, plus our registered company name, company number and registered address once incorporated, and our ICO registration number. UK GDPR requires a contact route for data subject requests, so this must be filled in before the site is promoted.
In the meantime, you can reach us through the early-access form on the home page, which a person reads.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the sircl.uk website and the early-access sign-up form on it. It does not yet cover the Sircl product, because the product is still in development. We will publish a separate, fuller policy covering the product before anyone uses it with real data.
What we collect
When you join the early-access list, we store:
- Your email address (required), so we can contact you.
- First name, company and role (optional), to help us understand who is interested.
- What old software you retype data into (optional free text), used to decide what we build first.
- Whether you offered to be a design partner.
- The time you gave consent, your browser’s user agent string, and any campaign parameters in the link you arrived through. These are a record of how and when you signed up.
Measuring how the site is used
We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and see which parts of the site people read. It is cookieless: it sets nothing on your device, does not follow you to other websites, and does not build a profile of you. It records the page, the referring site, and coarse details like country and device type. None of it is linked to your sign-up.
Because it uses no cookies and collects no personal data, this site does not need, and does not show, a cookie banner. We run no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to contact you about Sircl early access, and to decide what to build. Our lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the sign-up form. You can withdraw it at any time, and that is as easy as giving it: reply to any email we send you, and we will remove you.
We will not sell your details, and we will not pass them to anyone else for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase hosts the database your sign-up is stored in.
- Resend sends the confirmation email, if we have it switched on.
- Vercel hosts this website and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
- Slack or Discord, if we have a notification webhook switched on, receives an alert containing your sign-up details so we see new sign-ups promptly.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards in their standard data processing terms. To be completed: confirm the hosting region for each provider and link to their data processing agreements.
How long we keep it
We keep early-access sign-ups until you ask us to delete them, or until we decide not to proceed with Sircl, whichever comes first. If we have not launched and have not been in touch for two years, we will delete the list.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or restrict what we do with it, and you can object to our use of it. Contact us by replying to any email we have sent you, and we will respond within one month.
To be completed: a dedicated contact address for these requests.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We will update this page when things change, and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will email the list rather than relying on you to check.
